Alice lets the Social worker visit early, before Mark comes to the house .Alice has significant health challenges for which she partly  receives medical support at home from various NHS agencies :she currently receives dialysis treatment  at home due to her failing kidneys ;she has also been diagnosed with TB and has been prescribed with a six-month  course of tablets , she takes six tablets each day.
